Private William Bratton
Born: 1778, Augusta County, Virginia.
Bratton's family moved to Kentucky in 1790.
He was recruited by William Clark at the Falls of the Ohio, Kentucky.
Described as reserved and with strict morals. Served the expedition as a blacksmith and
gunsmith and was a good hunter.
